For years they have been accumulating unstructured data in files, e-mails, documents, spreadsheet, presentations, etc which is typically stored in personal and shared network folders. It is now commonly recognised that the proportion of this unstructured data to that held in structured databases is typically 80:20. Despite this, the policies, procedures and tools to managed these often vital resource are poorly developed and most organisations.
