Compliance

The spreading need for information governance and compliance driven by  legislation:

  • Sarbanes Oxley Act in the US
  • Basel II Accords in Europe
  • Freedom of Information Act in the UK

Management Awareness

The growing management recognition and concerns over unstructured data volumes, although we believe many organisations are to some extent in a state of denial that they actually have a problem.  Recognition of this has recently resulted in consultancy giant Accenture spending $100M on the introduction on its IM business unit and a commitment from IBM to spend $1B to enhance its IM software capabilities and consultancy services.
