News - 2006 a Big Year for IM Print

We are identifying some major investments in information management (IM) and 2006 is looking like a year where we are starting to see some significant changes in the ways individuals and organisations find information.

ImageIt is now commonly accepted that some 80% of information within organisations is held in documents, presentations, e-mail and other unstructured formats.  It is therefore not surprising that Accenture recently announced that they will spend around $100M introducing a IM business unit and the IBM plan to spend $1B to enhance their software and consultancy offerings.  It is also predicted that in 2006 search will surpass e-mail at the most commonly used on-line capability in the US.  As organisational interactions become more and more information centic and communications and information access become ubiquitious we will see major changes in the economics of information emerging in 2006. i-logue helps organisations prepare for these changes.
